Eligibility
Most posts need Intermediate from the UP Board or Uttarakhand Board (or equivalent), Hindi shorthand at 80 words per minute and Hindi typing on computer at 4000 key depressions per hour. The Judicial & Legal Academy post also needs a one-year shorthand and typing certificate/diploma and shorthand speeds of 80 wpm in Hindi and 100 wpm in English. Candidates with Territorial Army service, an NCC ‘B’/‘C’ certificate or a graduate degree get preference.
Exam and reservation
In the written exam, Unreserved, EWS and OBC candidates need at least 45% and SC/ST candidates at least 35%. Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC candidates and dependants of freedom fighters get 5 years of age relaxation, and persons with disabilities get 10 years. Reservation benefits are only for Uttarakhand domiciles.

How will candidates be selected?
