Eligibility
- B.Sc (Agriculture) under a four-year programme and M.Sc (Agriculture) in second class from an institution recognised by the State or Central Government or ICAR.
- An M.Sc (Agri) in first class or above and knowledge of Himachal’s dialects and conditions are desirable.
- You must hold the qualification by the closing date of the application.
Selection process
- Paper-I: one hour, 100 marks, MCQ – HP GK 30, national and international affairs 30, Hindi 20, English 20. A quarter mark is cut for each wrong answer.
- Paper-II: a three-hour, 120-mark descriptive Subject Aptitude Test. General candidates need 45% and reserved candidates 40% to pass.
- Personality test: 30 marks, in Shimla.
If the number of eligible candidates is six times the posts or fewer, all go straight to the personality test; below 20 times, only Paper-II and the personality test are held.
Documents
Ward of Ex-Servicemen candidates must submit a dependent certificate from the competent authority and a recent affidavit stating that no family member has already been employed against a post reserved for ex-servicemen. Also upload your matriculation certificate, degrees with mark sheets and the Bonafide Himachali certificate. The exam station is Shimla.
